On January 7, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd (CIMC SOE), a subsidiary of CIMC Enric Holdings Limited (CIMC Enric), successfully named and delivered the third 7600m³ LNG bunkering vessel, which was constructed for Canada’s Seaspan Energy, marking the successful completion of the cooperation project of this series of vessels between CIMC SOE and Seaspan Energy. The new vessel was named “SEASPAN BAKER”.
Seaspan Energy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seaspan ULC and the first company in Canada to provide ship-to-ship LNG bunkering solutions. CIMC Enric has previously delivered two 7600m³ LNG bunkering vessels of the same series to Seaspan Energy in October 2023 and April 2024 respectively.
All the performance indexes of “SEASPAN BAKER” meet or exceed the design requirements. The vessel adopts advanced technology and equipment, and has efficient LNG bunkering capacity, which can provide reliable clean energy supply service for all kinds of vessels and effectively help the green transformation of the shipping industry.
CIMC SOE will take the delivery of this project as an opportunity to continue to increase its R&D and investment in the field of LNG bunkering vessels and other clean energy equipments, to continuously improve the technical level and product quality, to provide more advanced and environmentally friendly on-water clean energy solutions for global customers, and to promote the sustainable development of the industry.
