CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding kicked off the construction of Cape shipping’s second product tanker

On January 6, CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding successfully kicked off the construction of a 115,000 DWT product oil tanker, built for Greece’s Cape Shipping Company.

The vessel has an overall length of 249.80 meters, a beam of 44.00 meters, with a design speed of 14.5 knots and a deadweight of 114,800 tons.

The cargo hold of the vessel can carry more than 800,000 barrels of crude oil products, and the main engine and generator meet the International Maritime Organization Tier Ⅲ emission standards, with better maneuverability, economic performance, energy-saving and green performance than the same type of vessels, which has strong market competitiveness.

The vessel is understood to be the second product tanker to be built by CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding for Cape shipping in Greece. The first vessel of the series commenced construction on October 10, 2024.
