On January 6, China Yangtze Shipping Group, Zhijiang Shengmao Shipyard and Wuhu Xinyuan Shipbuilding held a signing ceremony for the design and construction contract of 16 130-meter LNG micro-ignition powered standard multi-purpose vessels in Shanghai.
The 130-meter LNG micro-pilot-powered standard multi-purpose vessel construction project is an important initiative for China Yangtze Shipping Group to comply with the national development strategy and accelerate the cultivation of new quality productivity in the field of Yangtze River shipping, which is also an effective guarantee for the development and expansion of the first green fleet on the Yangtze River and the enhancement of the quality of service of the Yangtze River Green Express Line.

In recent years, China Yangtze Shipping Group has continued to promote the low-carbon transformation of its fleet, and in the next four years, it will build 70 clean energy vessels one after another, realizing the complete renewal of the Changjiang River fleet.
Zhijiang Shengmao Shipbuilding was established in 2010, covering a total area of 100,000 square meters and a shoreline of 318 meters. Its scale is at the leading level among Hubei private shipbuilding enterprises.
In recent years, Shengmao Shipbuilding Industry has taken the initiative to undertake various ship projects using LNG, methanol and electric propulsion system, especially focusing on building the Changjiang River 130 standard container ships, and steadily advancing the development direction of the enterprise towards green transformation. At present, the company has as many as 40 ships under construction, and among the new orders, the proportion of new energy ships has reached 100%.
Wuhu Xinyuan Shipbuilding was established on July 02, 2007, with a factory area of more than 1,000 Mu and a shoreline length of 1,138 m. It is a comprehensive enterprise integrating ship-repairing, infrastructure construction and investment, ship trading and machinery processing. The company mainly produces 20,000-57,000 tons of domestic and foreign bulk carriers, container ships, general cargo ships and etc..
