On January 6, the official website of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), “Group Leadership” column update shows that Wang Guoqiang served as deputy secretary of the party group, director, general manager. The CSSC general manager position has been vacant for more than a year since Yang Jincheng retired at the end of 2023, and now a new candidate has finally arrived.
So far, the leadership team of CSSC is: Xu Peng (Party Secretary, Chairman), Wang Guoqiang (Deputy Party Secretary, Director, General Manager), Du Gang (Deputy Party Secretary, Director), Jia Haiying (Party Member, Chief Accountant), Sheng Jigang (Party Member, Deputy General Manager), Wang Zheng (Party Member, Deputy General Manager), Peng Hong (Head of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group, Party Member), Hu Xianfu (Party Member, Deputy General Manager). Xu Peng, Wang Guoqiang, and Hu Xianfu all took office recently.
Public information shows that Wang Guoqiang was born in March 1967, joined the Communist Party of China in June 1994, started working in August 1988, graduated from Wuhan Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical technology and equipment, holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California as a senior engineer.
Wang Guoqiang has been working in the FAW system since he graduated from university in 1988. He has served successively as deputy director of FAW Steering Gear Factory, deputy general manager of Fawer Automotive Parts Steering Gear Branch, deputy secretary of Zuogong County Party Committee in Qamdo, Tibet, deputy director of the First Quality Management Department, deputy workshop director of the First Factory, and deputy workshop director of TEDA Factory of Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., deputy director of Development Department of FAW Group Corporation, secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of FAW Jilin Automobile Co., Ltd., Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of FAW Group Corporation, Deputy General Manager, and Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of FAW Jilin Automobile Co., Ltd., Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of FAW Group Corporation, Deputy General Manager, and Head and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Bestune Business Department (Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of FAW Car Co., Ltd.), Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of FAW Group Corporation, Deputy General Manager, and President and Secretary of the Party Committee of the R&D Institute, Director, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the Trade Union of FAW Group Corporation.
Recently, the leadership of CSSC has undergone “intensive” adjustments. According to previous reports, on December 30, the “Group Leadership” column of the CSSC’s official website was adjusted, and the chairman and party group secretary was changed from Wen Gang to Xu Peng; Hu Xianfu was added to the group leadership as deputy general manager and member of the party group.
