On January 1, the fourth and fifth 350FT self-propelled jack-up work platforms “RAWABI JUB 610” (W6028) and “RAWABI JUB 611” (W6029) built by China Merchants Jingling Shipyard (Weihai) Co. Ltd. CMJL (Weihai) for CTW (Tianjin) Offshore Engineering set off and floating loading at the offshore anchorage.
This type of platform shows a high degree of professionalism and advancement in its design and construction. With strong propulsion and stable power output, it can adapt to a variety of operating environments from shallow to deep sea, providing ample space for offshore operations.
With DP2 power positioning system, it can ensure that the platform can be accurately positioned and safely navigated under complicated sea conditions. The living building can accommodate 150 people, with a comfortable living environment and perfect catering, entertainment, medical and other supporting facilities, fully considering the needs of the staff for long-term offshore operations, providing them with a safe and comfortable offshore living space.
It is reported that the two platforms are expected to reach the relevant Qatari waters and put into operation in early February.
