Beihai’s first 210,000 dwt LNG dual-fuel bulk carrier completed sea trial

On October 8, the first 210,000 dwt LNG dual-fuel bulk carrier constracted by Beihai Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC),has completed sea testing.

This ship is the first of a series of three vessels built by Beihai shipbuilding for South Korea’s H-Line(H-Line), is equipped with two 3000 m3 LNG tanks, dual-fuel main engines, generators and high- and low-pressure dual-fuel systems.

During the sea trial, a number of gas test tests including main engine oil/gas conversion, main engine gas cut-off and gas mode were successfully completed, and the main indexes and performance of the ship met the requirements of specifications and regulations.

On the same day, the second 210,000 dwt bulk carrier constructed by Beihai Shipbuilding for CITIC Financial Leasing and Xiehai Group successfully sailed for sea trial.
