Beihai Shipbuilding received orders exceeded RMB 10 billion in 2024

On December 28, the 210,000 DWT ammonia-ready bulk carrier built by China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Beihai Shipbuilding for Belgium’s CMB departed from Dock No. 1 as scheduled, marking that all 95 major milestones of the company throughout the year were successfully completed as planned. At the same time, Beihai Shipbuilding exceeded the annual production and operation tasks with the good performance of overproduction of 4 ships, and both the output value and sales revenue exceeded RMB 10 billion, achieving a new milestone in the company’s development.

During the construction in the dock, all processes of the ship were closely coordinated, and all key milestones were completed on schedule, marking a successful completion of the 2024 annual target.

In 2024, Beihai Shipbuilding achieved continuous shortening of key cycles for its main ship types, a steady improvement in ship completeness upon undocking, and the annual delivery of 21 ships, with a completed tonnage exceeding 3.2 million deadweight tons. This reached a new historical height and set a new record. The construction of bulk carriers, container ships, and tankers, the three main types of ships, flourished, achieving serialization and large-scale development.

For two consecutive years, Beihai Shipbuilding’s new ship orders have surpassed RMB 10 billion, with the annual ordered deadweight tonnage continuously reaching new highs. Beihai Shipbuilding currently holds orders for over 60 ships, with orders for new energy-powered vessels accounting for more than 90% of the total orders. The market influence and competitiveness of Beihai’s branded ship types are continuously increasing.
