CSSC Chengxi Shipbuilding (Yangzhou) launched an 84,500 DWT heavy-lift multi-purpose vessel

Recently, the world’s largest heavy-lift multi-purpose vessel “CSPC ARIES” built by CSSC Chengxi Shipbuilding (Yangzhou) was successfully launched.

The vessel has an overall length of 225 meters, a beam of 36 meters and a depth of 21.05 meters, with a design speed of 15.5 knots and a deadweight of 84,500 tons.

With strong adaptability and high loading efficiency, the vessel is capable of transporting a wide range of goods such as pulp, containers and new energy vehicles.

Meanwhile, the vessel has excellent environmental performance, with environmental protection equipment such as high-pressure SCR system and open desulfurization tower, and is able to meet the EEDI PHASE III energy efficiency requirements and is 50% below the baseline, with outstanding economic performance.
