Recently, the Guangzhou Salvage Bureau’s “Hualuilong” safely unloaded two super-large platforms at the Khalid Port in the United Arab Emirates, successfully completing the ocean transportation mission from Zhoushan, China to the Khalid Port in the United Arab Emirates. The total voyage was 5,663 nautical miles and took 31 days, once again demonstrating the bureau’s strong strength and professional standard in the field of heavy-duty transportation.
It is reported that “Huaruilong” this voyage in Zhoushan Qushan anchorage loading two ultra-large platform belongs to the same model, a single platform length of 92.73 meters, 65.25 meters wide, 153.4 meters high, a total weight of 29,400 tons.
This is the first time for “Huarilong” to load two super-large platforms. on November 7, “Huarilong” successfully completed the loading, which set a new record for loading large platforms in the open temporary anchorage of Qushan Island, Zhoushan.
On November 12, “Huaruilong” set sail from Zhoushan and safely passed through Singapore, Malacca Strait and the high-risk area of pirates in Indian Ocean. After arriving at the destination port, personnel from all parties fully evaluated key factors such as weather, sea conditions, and wind currents to determine the window period for unloading operations. Finally, with the on-site guidance of the port captain and the concerted efforts of all crew members, the two platforms were slowly moved out from the deck one after another in 6 hours, which was highly recognized and praised by customers.
Built by China Merchants Heavy Industries Haimen shipyard (CMHI Haimen shipyard) in September 2022, “Huarilong” is the first four-island, forecastleless 80,000-ton semi-submersible engineering vessel in China. The vessel is 252 meters in length, 60 meters in beam and has a maximum diving depth of 30.8 meters. It uses fully electric-driven CPP energy-saving thrusters, has DP2 dynamic positioning capability and DP diving capability, and a maximum speed of more than 15 knots.
