On December 24th, Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery (ZPMC) held a four-party confirmation ceremony for the completion node of the 150-meter piling vessel “Erhang Changqing” built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Qidong Marine Engineering, a subsidiary of ZPMC, for CCCC Second Harbor Engineering. Representatives from the maritime affairs, ship inspection, shipowner and shipyard attended the ceremony and signed relevant documents witnessed by the four parties.
It is understood that the “Erhang Changqing” is the world’s largest piling vessel under construction. The vessel has a total length of 130.5 meters, a beam of 40.8 meters, and a pile frame of 150 meters, which is the largest in the world. The main cylinder of the pile frame has a thrust of 5000 tons, which is the world’s first super-large cylinder.
The vessel can drive a pile foundation with a maximum pile weight of 700 tons and a diameter of 7 The vessel is capable of driving piles with maximum pile weight of 700 tons and diameter of 7 meters. And it equipped with piling positioning system with the function of differential of far-sea star stations, which can realize centimeter-level precision piling in deep-sea.
