Jiangxi Jiangxin Shipbuilding cuts steel for two 40-meter class patrol vessels

On December 22, Jiangxi Jiangxin Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Jiangxi Military Industry Holding, held a steel cutting ceremony for the construction of two 40-meter class B-type patrol vessels for Liaoning Maritime Bureau and Fujian Maritime Bureau.

This type of 40-meter-class patrol vessel has a total length of 47.40 meters, a beam of 8 meters, and a depth of 4.7 meters. It is powered by twin diesel engines, twin shafts, twin rudders, and twin propellers, with a cruising range of no less than 1,300 nautical miles and a self-sustaining capacity of 7 days and nights, and can sail in offshore areas.

It is understood that the patrol vessel is mainly responsible for patrolling, monitoring and emergency response tasks in important coastal waterways, island ports and nearby waters. After delivery, it will effectively improve the level of maritime safety supervision and emergency response in the maritime areas of Liaoning and Fujian, and help the high-quality development of the national marine cause and local economy.
