EXXONMOBIL’s ERREAWITTU FPSO project enters electrical commissioning phase

On December 19, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (DSIC) achieved the milestone of in-dock emergency generator system ignition for the ERREAWITTU (FPSO-10) project built for MODEC, marking that the project formally entered into the electrical commissioning stage.

The emergency generator system of the FPSO-10 project is complex and has high inspection standards. The second assembly division of DSIC, in collaboration with the project team, has established a special task force for the completion of the emergency generator. This team proactively reviewed the scope of commissioning and identified 162 system inspection points. By setting clear production goals, continuously optimizing various construction stages, closely monitoring material preparation, and enhancing the rationality and completeness of on-site processes, they successfully completed all tasks.

The FPSO-10 project commenced in October last year. This project is the fifth FPSO deployed by the owner, ExxonMobil, in the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana. It is also the first Guyana FPSO project jointly undertaken by MODEC as the main contractor and DSIC as the hull subcontractor. DSIC is responsible for the design and construction of the FPSO hull, living quarters, and module supports.
