On December 18th, Chinese shipbuilder Sanfu Shipbuilding held a signing and delivery ceremony for an 11,000DWT multi-purpose vessel built for a German shipowner. This vessel is the seventh in a series of 11,000DWT multi-purpose vessels, which is also the first one of the series to be classed by LR.
The vessel has an overall length of 149.95 meters, a beam of 23.20 meters, a depth of 10.5 meters and a design draft of 8.50 meters, with a speed of 15.5 knots.
The vessels are driven by low-speed diesel engines and the main engine is a MAN B&W 6G45 ME-C9.5, with two 250T Kringle cranes on the port side of the deck, with a maximum combined lifting weight of 500 tons.
The most notable feature of this vessel is that it is designed as a bow-type vessel, which provides a wider view during navigation. The overall deck length is 128m and the cargo hold length is 104m.
The vessel is equipped with two two-deck hatch covers, which can be flexibly adjusted in nine positions up and down, and two sets of movable bulkheads, which can be adjusted in multiple positions in the longitudinal direction, so that the cargo suitability has been greatly improved.
