The relocation project of “Qinhuangdao Shipbuilding Base” started

On December 18, the groundbreaking ceremony for the relocation of the Qinhuangdao Ship Repair and Construction Base of CCCC First Harbor Engineering Bureau Fifth Engineering was held. Hebei Port Group and CCCC First Harbor Engineering Bureau Fifth Engineering worked together to relocate the original ship repair and construction base in Qinhuangdao West Port Area to East Port Area, creating favorable conditions for the overall development of West Port Area, marking another solid step forward in the development and construction of Qinhuangdao International Tourism Port.

The Qinhuangdao Ship Repair and Construction Base Relocation Project is an important driving project for the transformation and upgrading of Qinhuangdao Port. It is of great significance to accelerate the construction of an internationally renowned tourist port and a modern comprehensive trade port and promote the integrated development of port, industry and city, which will inject new impetus into the local economic and social development.

It is reported that the newly built ship repair base is located on the west side of the Hegang Port Engineering Prefabrication Site, with a total land area of ​​60,000 square meters, including the outfitting dock area, slipway and assembly area, hull manufacturing and outfitting area, warehouse and auxiliary construction area.

The new plant will adopt an operating model based on the development of green industries, and promote the development of shipbuilding from traditional industries to the direction of AI intelligence and green energy implantation. It is expected that after the completion of the project, it will achieve an annual output value of RMB 80 million, build 1.5 6,000-ton engineering ships, and repair 20 6,000-ton and below engineering ships or social ships.
