On December 16th, a signing ceremony for the capital increase of SAIC Anji Logistics was held at the headquarters of SAIC Group. Under the joint witness of the leaders of COSCO Shipping Group, Shanghai Port Group and SAIC Group, COSCO Shipping Holdings, Shanghai Port Group and Anji Logistics signed a Strategic Investment Agreement.
According to the agreement, COSCO SHIPPING Holdings and Shanghai Port Group will each invest RMB 1 billion (excluding transaction fees) and subscribe to RMB 75 million of new registered capital of Anji Logistics. After the completion of this capital increase, the registered capital of Anji Logistics will increase from RMB 600 million to RMB 750 million. COSCO SHIPPING Holdings and Shanghai Port Group will each obtain 10% of the shares of Anji Logistics after this transaction.

The signing of this contract not only means that the capital of the three central state-owned enterprises is more closely linked, but also is a concrete practice to deepen the reform of state-owned enterprises, improve the core competitiveness of the central state-owned enterprises, and play the role of service and guarantee for the major national strategies.
After the completion of this strategic investment, on the basis of better guaranteeing the Chinese brand automobiles to export to the sea, it will plough into the international automobile transportation market with the port, shipping and cargo, and formally set up an “automobile ro-ro national team” with resource sharing and mutual benefit and win-win situation, so as to jointly enhance the international competitiveness of the Chinese brand.
