JSHT Receives Order for Two 63,500 DWT Bulk Carriers from Glorious Youth Shipping

Earlier this year, Glorious Youth Shipping Limited (“Glorious Youth Shipping”) signed a contract with Chinese shipbuilder Jiangsu Haitong Offshore Engineering Equipment Co.,Ltd.(“JSHT”) earlier this year for the construction of two 63,500 dwt Handymax bulk carriers, which is the first newbuilding order signed by Glorious Youth Shipping, Trade Winds News said.

It is reported that excluding the above orders, there are at least 10 63,500 dwt bulk carriers orders made public by JSHT this year.

In September, JSHT signed a construction contract for two 63,500 dwt environmentally friendly bulk carriers, which are expected to be delivered in 2026, with Taiwanese shipowner Ta-Ho Maritime Corporation. The total value of the order is between US$64 million and US$68 million, which is also the first time for Ta-Ho Maritime Corporation to place an order with a mainland shipyard.

In July, JSHT was awarded a contract for two 63,500 dwt bulk carriers by Fujian Guohang Ocean Shipping with a total contract price of US$65.6 million.

In May, JSHT received an order from Wanhui International Holding Group for two 63,500 dwt bulk carriers, and the new vessels are expected to be completed and delivered in April 2027 in full.

In April, JSHT received an order for four 63,500 dwt bulk carriers from Taiwan-based shipping company Franbo Lines, with deliveries expected to begin in 2025.
