ZPMC Laid Keel For Two Advanced 30,000m³ Hopper Dredgers

On December 9, Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery (ZPMC) successfully completed the keel laying of two 30,000m³ trailing suction hopper dredgers built for CCCC Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd. and CCCC Guangzhou Dredging Co., Ltd., marking that the two projects entered the dock assembly phase.

The two 30,000m³ hopper dredgers integrate advanced technologies such as ultra-deep dredging, ultra-strong soil breaking, and ultra-long discharge distances. They are capable of adapting to port and waterway dredging and maintenance projects, sand extraction and reclamation projects, and deep-sea trench construction and backfilling projects.

These vessels meet the functional requirements of long-distance transport, long discharge distances, and deep dredging. They fill the gap in China’s fleet of hopper dredgers above 30,000m³ capacity, greatly enhancing China’s core competitiveness in the international high-end dredging market.
