A fire broke out at a Chinese shipyard

According to Hong Kong media reports, at 4:11 pm on December 6, a fire broke out at a shipyard located at 17-20 Shum Wan Road, Aberdeen. The fire spread rapidly, and a large amount of black smoke continued to rise into the air. During this period, there was even a suspected explosion.

At 4:45 p.m., the Hong Kong Fire Services Department (FSD) raised the fire alarm to Level 3 (Level 1 to Level 5 from lowest to highest). The fire was raging at the scene, and firefighters used 4 fire hoses, 2 teams of breathing apparatus teams and 3 water cannons of fire-fighting wheels to put out the fire. No injuries were reported in the fire, and about 60 people were evacuated.

The police said that at about 4:00 p.m., witnesses reported that there was a fire at a railroad gate at 18 Sham Wan Road in Chai, and there was smoke coming out, but the person who reported the fire could not identify the items on fire, and could not successfully extinguish the fire.

According to reports, the person in charge of the shipyard returned to the scene and said that the loss was heavy and that she was very sad. All the property was destroyed within an hour, and the factory and the car were burned. She said that she was not at the shipyard when the incident happened, but she rushed to the scene immediately after receiving a call from an employee, but fortunately no employee was injured.
