On December 5, the 114,000 DWT Aframax product tanker H1575, built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) for Thenamaris, was successfully launched.
H1575 is one of the series of tankers built by SWS this year. During the construction, SWS vigorously promoted the forward shift of work processes. Before launching, the block completion rate reached 98%, setting a new record in the company’s tanker construction history, with the key path block completion rate hitting 100%.
To ensure the successful completion of project milestones, despite limited resources for simultaneous construction of multiple ship types and the impact of adverse weather conditions such as the rainy season, high temperatures, and typhoons, various departments at SWS worked together, flexibly adjusting production resources according to the plan, and reasonably arranging production schedules.
The successful launch of the H1575 vessel further strengthened the foundation for SWS to achieve its overall production targets for the year and sounded the rallying cry for the final phase of ship construction at the dock and pier stages.
