Hengli Heavy Industries’ orders have been scheduled until 2028

On December 4, the opening ceremony of the Hengli Green Ship Development Conference was held in Dalian.

Xu Maoping, member of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Dalian Municipal Party Committee, stated that Dalian boasts rich marine resources and excellent port conditions.

Dalian is cultivating and expanding the high-tech shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment industry, and is making every effort to build a world-class shipbuilding and marine engineering industry base.

In 2022, Hengli Group ventured into the shipbuilding industry, revitalizing the previously idle assets of STX Shipyard and other properties within just two years. They completed the first phase of the Hengli Heavy Industries Industrial Park, creating the “Hengli Speed” and establishing the “Hengli Quality,” becoming a model for high-quality development among private enterprises.

Chen Jianhua, Chairman of Hengli Group, said that since its establishment 30 years ago, Hengli Group has built the world’s largest textile enterprise, the world’s largest industrial yarn and PTA production base, China’s first 20 million ton private refining project, and pioneered the full industrial chain development model of “from a drop of oil to a piece of cloth” and “from a piece of coal to a piece of cloth”. Every industry developed by Hengli has become a global industry benchmark.

Hengli Group Chairman Chen Jianhua stated that over the 30 years since Hengli Group was founded, it has built the world’s largest textile enterprise, the world’s largest industrial yarn and PTA production base, and China’s first 20 million-ton private refining and chemical project. Every industry Hengli has ventured into has become a global industry benchmark.

Since the full operation of Hengli Heavy Industries’ Phase I project in 2023, shipbuilding orders have been secured up until 2028, with over 30 ships already under construction. The first ship was delivered six months ahead of schedule in April this year, and the first marine engine was officially delivered in September. A total of 12 ships are expected to be launched this year.

The second phase of the project started in August and has entered the peak installation period. The first batch of workshops will be put into use at the end of the month.

Hengli will adhere to the highest standards, strictest requirements, and fastest speed to innovatively design, leanly build, and deliver high-value green vessels such as ultra-large crude oil tankers, ultra-large container ships, ultra-low temperature ships, and LNG ships on schedule. The company is fully committed to creating a top-tier shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment manufacturing industrial base that is digital, intelligent, and green.
