Greek bulk carrier owner Gourdomichalis Maritime has ordered two 158,000 DWT Suezmax tankers from Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding(SWS), a subsidiary of the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), via its newly established shipping company Flynn Shipping.
The two new vessels will be powered by conventional marine fuels, are scheduled for delivery in 2027 at a cost of over $80 million per vessel, with a total order value of around $160 million.
This series of new vessels is Gourdomichalis’ first order in the Suezmax tanker market and marks a further expansion of Gourdomichalis’ business scope.
