CMB company’s a 210,000 DWT ammonia readey bulk carrier starts sea trial

On December 1, the 210,000 DWT ammonia readey bulk carrier No. 47, built by China State Shipbuilding Group Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (Beihai Shipbuilding) for Belgium’s CMB company, went out to sea for sea trial.

It is understood that this type of bulk carrier has an overall length of 299.95 meters, a width of 50 meters, a depth of 25.2 meters, and a deadweight tonnage of 210,799 tons, with a service speed of 14.69 knots.

The design of this series of vessels fully considers the installation space for ammonia fuel tanks, ammonia fuel bunkering, supply systems, and their pipelines.

During the construction of the vessel, Beihai Shipbuilding organized all relevant departments to plan and organize carefully, and the integrity of the sea trial was significantly improved compared with the previous vessel.
