CPGC Delivers World’s First Methanol Medium Speed Engine

On November 29, CSSC Power (Group) Corporation Ltd. (CPGC) achieved a new breakthrough with its independently developed CPGC ML320DM methanol medium speed engine, and the world’s first methanol medium speed engine, CPGC-MAN L21/31DF-M, was successfully delivered.

Mr. Li Cheng, Secretary of Party Committee of CPGC and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CPGC, said in his speech that the launching of CPGC series of methanol medium-speed engines is an important practice of the company to actively implement China’s “dual-carbon” strategy and the strategy of a strong maritime nation. At the same time, it demonstrated the company’s technological innovation strength in the field of clean energy, while marking a new breakthrough in green power technology in China’s shipbuilding industry.

Wu Jianyi, Chief Engineer of China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES), spoke highly of this cooperation. He said that the successful delivery of CPGC-MAN 7L21/31DF-M methanol engine not only highlights the deep cooperation between CMES and CPGC, but also creates a new situation for the comprehensive application of green and low-carbon ship power.

In addition, CPGC held the delivery ceremony of CPGC-MAN 7L21/31DF-M methanol medium speed machine and the signing ceremony of sales contract of CPGC 8ML320DM methanol main engine & methanol supply system.

The achievement of these two results not only highlights CPGC’s leading position in the research and development and market application of green power products, but also reflects the development results of deep synergy with partners in the field of clean energy.

In the future, CPGC will continue to promote ship power technology towards high-end, intelligent and green development, and provide a source of power for the development of new quality productivity in China’s ship power industry.
