On November 28, Sumec marine and New Dayang Shipbuilding held a video signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement for two Crown 63 PLUS bulk carriers with Taiwan shipowner China Leasing Company Limited (“Chailease Holding”).
Chailease Holding is the second ship owner company in China Taiwan after Sumec marine and Taiwan U-Ming Marine Transport Ltd.’s (“U-Ming”). The signing of this cooperation agreement signifies that Sumec marine’s “Crown” brand bulk carriers have successfully entered the Taiwan market and gradually expanded its brand influence.
Chailease Holding has placed an order for the construction of two Crown 63 PLUS bulk carriers, demonstrating its bullishness on the mid-sized bulk carrier market and its strategic ambition to invest in vessel assets as a future direction of business development.
Chailease Holding is the leading leasing company in Taiwan, China, with operations in Taiwan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and the United States, and is a full-service and specialized financial services company.
This order brings the total number of orders for Sumec marine’s 3.0 version of Crown 63 PLUS to 105 vessels, and the development of “Crown” brand to a new level.
