On November 26th, Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), in cooperation with China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC), delivered the fourth 7,000 CEU LNG dual-fuel PCTC (pure car and track carrier), “GLOVIS SUCCESS”, to South Korea’s H-LINE Shipping Company.
“GLOVIS SUCCESS” is the last of a series of four PCTCs and is also the ninth PCTC delivered by GSI this year, more than eight months ahead of the contract delivery schedule.
It is reported that as early as in late October this year, GSI completed the annual ship marine products delivery task target ahead of schedule. The successful delivery of “GLOVIS SUCCESS” marks that GSI has exceeded the target of the annual delivery of marine products.
“GLOVIS SUCCESS has an overall length of 200 meters, a beam of 38 meters, a design draft of 8.6 meters, a design speed of 19 knots, and a cargo capacity of 7,000 vehicles.
The ship adopts advanced natural gas/fuel oil dual-fuel propulsion system design, configured with high-voltage shore power system, and adopts various energy-saving measures such as drag-reducing anti-fouling paint, etc. The EEDI (Energy Efficiency Operation Index) meets the requirements of the latest Phase II of the International Maritime Organization, which is an energy-saving, environmentally friendly and high-efficiency automobile transport ship.

It is reported that it took only 3 years from the signing of the contract to the completion of the delivery of all the 4 PCTCs in the series.
