BV Grants AIP Certification to Wison New Energies’ Low-Carbon FPSO

On November 27, the “Wison Low Carbon FPSO FEED Project” developed by Wison New Energies received the Approval in Principle (AIP) from Bureau Veritas (BV). Yi Gaojie, Operations Director of BV China, presented the certificate to Wison New Energies.

FPSOs have become the preferred choice for deepwater oil and gas development globally, especially in remote areas where local infrastructure is lacking. As environmental pressure increases, low-carbon technology becomes increasingly critical in FPSO operations. Wison low-carbon FPSO significantly reduces the carbon footprint of offshore energy operations through innovative engineering and technology integration. This project not only demonstrates the market potential of low-carbon FPSO, but also conforms to the global trend of energy and environmental protection.

Wison low-carbon FPSO adopts advanced technologies including gas turbine combined cycle technology, carbon capture and re-injection, etc. to achieve a comprehensive carbon reduction of up to 40%. During this AIP certification process, Wison New Energies and BV worked closely together to efficiently complete the design, review and certification of the FPSO project through in-depth technical discussions and joint design optimization.

Jiang Hao, Vice President of Wison New Energies, thanked BV for its support for Wison low-carbon FPSO project and said: “Wison has continuously accumulated technical experience in the FPSO field and significantly improved production efficiency and effectively reduced carbon emissions in the production process through continuous design optimization. This AIP certification is a recognition and affirmation of Wison’s commitment to the development of sustainable energy solutions. In the future, we look forward to working with global partners to continue to provide customers with economical, low-emission, and short-delivery FPSO solutions and jointly create a greener future.”
