XMXYG SOE held a steel cutting ceremony for Xiamen Finacial Leasing’s 63800DWT bulk carrier

On November 21, Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. (“XMXYG SOE”) held a steel cutting ceremony for the first 63,800DWT bulk carrier in the series built for Xiamen Finacial Leasing.

The 63,800 DWT bulk carrier is a new generation Ultramax bulk carrier independently optimized, designed and built by XMXYG SOE. It adopts new ship materials and technologies, meets TIERⅢ emissions, and the energy efficiency operation index (EEDI) meets the International Maritime Organization’s Phase III requirements. It integrates energy saving, environmental protection, and high efficiency, and has leading competitive advantages in comprehensive performance such as speed, fuel consumption, and deadweight tonnage.

According to previous reports, in March this year, XMXYG SOE signed a contract with Xiamen Financial Leasing and COSCO Shipping Bulk to build eight methanol READY 64,000DWT bulk carriers. Eight months later, the project was officially started, fully demonstrating XMXYG SOE’s speed and laying a solid foundation for subsequent cooperation.
