On November 20, Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry held a naming ceremony for two 77,000 DWT multi-purpose pulp carriers N1118 and N1120 built for CMB Financial Leasing, which were named “GREEN PECEM” and “GREEN SUAPE”, respectively. These vessels are also the 12th and 13th multi-purpose pulp carriers built by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry in the 77,000-ton multi-purpose pulp vessel series. Among which N1118 “GREEN PECEM” was delivered on the same day.
It is understood that this series of vessels has a total length of 225.00 meters, a width of 32.26 meters, and a depth of 21.00 meters, with a design speed of 15 knots. The cargo holds of these vessels have excellent sealing and dryness, ensuring the quality and safety of pulp transportation.
Meanwhile, the vessels have been upgraded with a “foldable vehicle-specific frame” function, and an “individual temperature monitoring and warning system” specifically for new energy vehicles. This allows for the safe and high-quality transportation of imported pulp while also safely transporting new energy vehicles, facilitating the large-scale export of new energy vehicles.
The pollutant nitrogen oxide emissions of this series of vessels meet the highest requirements of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from vessels (Tier III), and the vibration and noise meet the requirements of the China Classification Society’s (CCS) latest “Green Ecological Vessel Code”. At the same time, the ship Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) far exceeds the International Maritime Organization’s Phase III requirements.
