WE delivered two sets of 3,000m³ LNG fuel tanks

Recently, Watts Energy & Engineering(WE) successfully shipped the first two sets of 3,000m³ marine LNG fuel tanks designed and built for LGM Engineering. This series of tanks are customized for MOL, a Japanese shipowner, and are planned to be installed on their 210,000 DWT LNG dual-fuel bulk carriers built in Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding.

WE has been awarded a contract to manufacture eight 3,000m³ marine LNG fuel tanks in 2023. Each fuel tank has an overall length of 31 meters and a net weight of about 255 tons, and is designed and manufactured in accordance with Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) standards, meeting the latest international environmental and safety requirements. The installation of the two bunker tanks delivered has been completed in Beihai Shipbuilding recently.

It is worth mentioning that the smooth construction of this series of tanks has been highly recognized by customers, shipowners and shipyards, and an order for 6 sets of the same series of LNG bunker tanks has recently come into effect, which is planned to be applied in the subsequent dual-fuel vessels. This additional order not only demonstrates WE’s excellent product quality and high quality service, but also further consolidates the company’s leading position in the LNG tank market.

Up to now, WE has successfully provided more than 100 sets of marine fuel tanks and liquid cargo tanks of different specifications for many international famous enterprises, including Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation(DSIC), Mitsubishi Shipbuilding, Samsung Heavy Industries, DongHwa Entec, and AC-INOX of Germany, etc., and has actively promoted the development of cleaner shipping and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
