On November 12, the first batch of “Large-scale Equipment Renewal for Transportation” in Guangxi and the groundbreaking ceremony of CCS-classed inland waterway LNG-powered ships were held in Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding and Repair.
LNG ships are of great significance in promoting China’s energy structure adjustment and green development of the shipping industry.LNG-powered ships have the advantages of environmental friendliness, economy, transport flexibility and high performance, which is one of the solutions to promote green and low-carbon development, resource recycling and reuse, and to solve the problem of standardization and green development of the shipping industry. Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding and Repair has built and delivered 11 LNG-powered ships in less than two years.
It is understood that on the same day, Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding and Repair signed a total of 20 LNG-powered ship repair and construction contracts with ship owners and Guangxi Qiaotian Shipping, Guangxi Hongyang Logistics, Guangxi Yifeng Information Technology, etc., with a total value of more than RMB 200 million.
