Sinogas, a Singapore-based operator of gas carriers, has announced that it has ordered three 25,000 cbm and four 41,000 cbm dual-fuel LPG/liquid ammonia carriers from CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding. The new vessels will be delivered in 2026.
At the same time, Sinogas has signed a long-term charter agreement with Trammo for one new 25,000 cbm new building and two to four new 41,000 cbm new buildings.
Thesevesels wil be powered by WinGD’s duafuelammonia engines,equipped with 3 Type Aliguid cargo tanks and2 decktanks, the design temperature is minus 50 degres Celsiuscan load two kinds of cargoes at the same time, and has ammonia reflling ready function.
With leading design,green environmental protection and high eficieny and energy saving,these vesels wilbe equipped with additonal eco features such as shat generators andpaints produced using the latest technology to improve hydrodynamic effciency and lower fuel consumption.
According to Sinogas Maritime’s official website, the company is a world-renowned gas transportation leader that has been established for more than 30 years and has a modern fleet of gas carriers and tankers of various types, including LNG carriers, VLGCs, VLECs, multi-purpose gas carriers, LNG refueling carriers, pressurized gas carriers and asphalt carriers.
It is worth noting that in May this year, Sinogas affiliate Tianjin Southwest Marine signed a contract with Whampoa Wenchong for the construction of two 25,000 cbm ammonia dual-fuel LPG/liquid ammonia carriers. And in June, Tianjin Southwest Marine and Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding signed another contract for the construction of a 41,000 cbm ammonia dual-fuel LPG/liquid ammonia carrier. The vessel has a length of 179.9 meters, a beam of 30 meters and a depth of 18.85 meters, which meets the requirements of T-III and EEDI-III stages.
