Jiangmen Nanyang Shipbuilding delivered the first ship to Chinaland Shipping

On November 11, 2024, an China professional ocean shipping enterprise, Chinaland Shipping’s first new ship was officially named and delivered at the Jiangmen Nanyang Ship Engineering in Guangdong. And the new ship was named “CL Prosperity”.

“CL Prosperity” is the first new ship delivered among the 15 new shipbuildings of Chinaland Shipping, and is classed by Lloyd’s Register (LR). It is 179.9 meters long, 30 meters wide, 40,500 deadweight tons, and has a designed draft of 10.95 meters.

The ship is of advanced design, environmentally friendly and more cargo-friendly: it has a wide size hatch opening cargo hold and a 36-ton crane, which can carry more overweight and unconventional cargo, greatly improving the loading and unloading rate; it has outstanding advantages in energy conservation and emission reduction, with a designed speed of 13.5 knots and a main engine fuel consumption of 16.7 tons/day. Also it meets the requirements of the third phase of the ship Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) and the IMO Tier-III emission requirements.

It is understood that the construction of the ship took 252 days. On November 12, the new ship set sail for Tianjin Port, the largest port in northern China, to start the maiden voyage.
