On November 12, Chinese shipbuilder COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) held a naming and delivery ceremony for the third 63,600 DWT bulk carrier built for CMB Financial Leasing/Zhejiang Xinyihai Shipping, marking the successful completion of this series of three 63,600 DWT bulk carriers.
The new building is named “EMERALD QUSHAN”, with a total length of 199.9 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters, a depth of 18.85 meters, and a structural draft of 13.5 meters.
It is not only the finale of the three 63,600DWT series bulk carriers of Zhejiang Xinyihai Shipping, but also the 13th 63,600 DWT series bulk carrier delivered by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan).
It is also a successful example of the shipbuilder, Zhejiang Xinyi Hai Shipping, and China Classification Society Zhejiang Branch leading the party building and jointly creating a “Zhouzhou Ship Zhouzhuang” boutique project.
The 63,600 DWT bulk carrier is a high-quality bulk carrier independently developed and designed by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Design and Research Institute based on comprehensive market needs. The product conforms to the green and energy-saving development trend and meets the latest TIER 3 emission standards and EEDI PHASE 3 energy efficiency standards of the International Maritime Organization.
