On September 27, the world’s largest Asphalt/Bitumen Carrier built by CSSC Chengxi (Yangzhou) for Vitol was successfully launched.
The vessel has an overall length of 179.9m, a beam of 30.6m, a depth of 16.8m, and can carry 37,000 tons of asphalt at one time. The ship meets the SOLAS convention and adopts winGD main engine and HSD low pressure SCR, the exhaust gas meets the requirement of emission Ⅲ. The cargo tank system of the whole vessel adopts 2 sets of thermal oil boilers for heating, and the temperature control is constant at 135 degrees according to the loading requirements of the ship owner, which ensures the safety of the asphalt cargo. The liquid cargo system is equipped with advanced design and simple barge system, which is convenient to use and maintain. The pipeline between storing different cargoes is isolated by double valves, which is safe and strong, and adopts vertical inverter cargo oil pump, which is easy to install, and the barge volume is controlled by inverter, which greatly reduces the barge time of the cargoes, and reduces the cost of equipments and maintenance.
The vessel was officially launched on July 25th and launched on September 27th.
