SEASPAN and ZIM received a new 7000TEU container ship

On November 9, New Yangzi Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group, delivered the twelfth LNG dual-fuel 7000TEU container ship “ZIM JASPER” built for shipowners SEASPAN and ZIM.

It is reported that the ship has a total length of 272m, a width of 42.8m, a depth of 24.6m, and is equipped with a B-Type 9 nickel steel LNG fuel tank. The ship was began construction in mid-October 2023,was laid keel in late April 2024, was launched in early August, and successfully completed the sea trials on November 2, with all test results meeting design standards.

On November 7, a naming ceremony was held for the ship. On November 8, the “ZIM JASPER” was officially signed over and delivered. Mr. Nan Xiangfu, the representative of SEASPAN, and Mr. Du Chengzhong, the deputy general manager of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group and the general manager of New Yangzi Shipbuilding, signed the delivery documents on behalf of both parties.
