CSA and KSA Sign MOU on Cooperation

According to the news of China Shipowners Association (CSA), on the morning of November 8, 2024, YANG Chang Ho, Executive Vice President of Korea Shipowners Association (KSA), and his party visited China Shipowners Association, and both sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the cooperation in the field of maritime transportation. Secretary General of CSA, Mr. Zhang Aiguo, etc. had an exchange talk with the guests.

Zhang Aiguo firstly expressed his warm welcome to YANG Chang Ho and his delegation, and introduced the development history of CSA, its main duties and recent achievements in promoting the development of shipping. He emphasized that China and South Korea have a wide range of cooperation prospects in the field of shipping, and hoped that both sides can further strengthen exchanges and cooperation and jointly deal with the new challenges facing the shipping industry.

YANG Chang Ho then introduced the important role played by the KSA in promoting the development of Korea’s shipping industry and expressed his willingness to join hands with the CSA to jointly promote the cooperation between the two countries in the field of maritime transportation to a new level.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation in the field of maritime transportation. The signing of the MOU marks the closer cooperation between the shipowners’ associations of China and Korea in the field of shipping, and the two sides will work together to improve the efficiency of maritime transportation, ensure the safety of maritime navigation and promote the sustainable development of the shipping industry.

In the future, the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation, jointly respond to the new challenges of the shipping industry, and promote the prosperous development of the shipping industry in China and South Korea.
