Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has completed 259% of its annual order target for new vessels

On November 7, the listed company Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yangzijiang Shipbuilding”) announced its operating results for the third quarter of 2024.

As of November 7, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has received orders for 98 new vessels this year, with a value of US$11.64 billion, completing 259% of its annual order target. Of these new orders, 84% are for clean energy vessels, including 16 gas carriers, 32 LNG dual-fuel vessels and 17 methanol dual-fuel vessels.

At the same time, as of November 7, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has completed and delivered a total of 57 new vessels in 2024, achieving 90% of the annual delivery target of 63 new vessels. Among them, the research and development and construction of methanol, LPG and LNG clean energy vessels have achieved breakthroughs and improvements.

It is understood that Yangzijiang Shipbuilding currently hand held orders for 224 vessels worth US$22.14 billion. The vessel types are diverse, including 95 container ships, 38 bulk carriers, 27 gas carriers (LEG/LPG/VLAC/VLEC), and 64 tankers, among which clean energy vessels account for about 75%.
