Xingtong Shipping takes delivery of a 13,000-dwt duplex stainless steel chemical tanker

On November 5, Xingtong Shipping’s 13,000-dwt duplex stainless steel chemical tanker “XT EXPLORATION” set sail from Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding and officially went into operation. It will carry out 10,000 tons of paraxylene on its maiden voyage from Korea to Chinese Taipei.

“XT EXPLORATION” is classed by China Classification Society (CCS) and is seaworthy in unlimited navigation area.The vessel measures 133.3m in length, 21.5m in breadth, 11.6m in depth with a designed speed of 13.5 knots.

The vessel has a deadweight of 13,000 tons and is equipped with 14 liquid cargo tanks made of duplex stainless steel with a total capacity of about 15,200m³. It can carry IMO Class II and III chemicals.

The vessel is equipped with FRAMO deep well pumps, and the main and auxiliary engine emissions meet Tier Ⅲ emissions and comply with the requirements of various emission control areas. The ballast water treatment system meets the requirements of European and American waters.

In addition, it is equipped with intelligent navigation, intelligent engine room, intelligent energy efficiency and intelligent information integration platform, making it a new generation of green and intelligent high-end stainless steel chemical tanker.
