CU Lines sold six container ships

China United Lines (CU Lines) is looking to capitalize on today’s rising tonnage prices for used container ships. The compay has sold six ships, including some very modern tonnage, brokers report.

The six container ships are the 2023-built 2,433 TEU Qingdao CUL, the 2024-built 2,433 TEU Klang CUL, the 2023-built 2,689 TEU Ho Chi Minh CUL, the 2023-built 2,700 TEU Shekou CUL, the 2011-built 2,800 TEU Manila CUL and the 2012-built 2,758 TEU Jakarta CUL.

VesselsValue statistics show that CU Shipping has 13 ships, with two more on order. While Alphaliner data shows that CU Shipping is the 46th largest shipping company in the world, with a total fleet size of around 30,000 TEU.
