SUMEC’s shipbuildings order book reaches 84 ships

On November 1, SUMEC Group Corporation (SUMEC) held a third-quarter results briefing, in which the details of the development of SUMEC’s textile and apparel business, ship business, diesel generator sets and other businesses were attracted the attention of investors.

Among them, SUMEC’s shipbuilding business adheres to the path of green development and differentiated competition, constantly strengthens its ship design, R&D and construction capabilities, and continues to iterate and upgrade its advantageous ship types. As of the end of the third quarter of this year, the company’s shipbuilding business orders for 84 vessels, with delivery schedules up to 2028.

According to Sumec’s third-quarter report, the company achieved operating income of 86.941 billion yuan in the first three quarters and realized a net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies of 1.001 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.03%.

Public information shows that SUMEC’s main business includes two categories: industry chain and supply chain. The main products or services of the industry chain business include clean energy, eco-environmental protection, outdoor power equipment (OPE), diesel generator sets, shipbuilding and shipping, and textile and garment. The supply chain business refers to supply chain integration services, specifically commodity operations and import and export of electromechanical equipment.
