Hengli Heavy Industries’s No. 6 Wharf and Material Wharf Project Officially Started

According to the news of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) Third Harbor Engineering, on October 31st, the No.6 wharf and material wharf project of Chinese shipbuilder Hengli Heavy Industry, which is constructed by the company, was officially started.

Located at Changxing Island, Dalian City, the project consists of Outfitting Wharf No. 6 and Material Wharf. After completion, the outfitting wharf will be able to accommodate one 300,000-ton ship and one 30,000-ton ship berthing for outfitting at the same time, and the material wharf will be able to accommodate two 5,000-ton ships berthing simultaneously.

It is understood that Hengli Heavy Industry has started the construction of more than 30 ships, including very large oil tankers, very large container ships, very large ore carriers, LR2 tankers.

Hengli Heavy Industry started the construction of the second phase of the project in August this year. Only two months later, the second phase of the project has fully entered the peak period of steel structure lifting. It is expected that next year, after the first and second phase of the full production, Hengli Heavy Industry will form an annual processing steel volume of 2.3 million tons, the production capacity of 180 units of engine production.
