On October 29, Hubei Jinyu New Energy Shipbuilding (Jinyu New Energy Shipbuilding) successfully held a steel cutting ceremony at the Hubei Intelligent New Energy Ship Industrial Park.
At the ceremony, Jinyu New Energy Shipbuilding and Hong Kong Jintang Shipping officially signed a ship construction contract worth US$150 million (approximately RMB 1.07 billion).
According to reports, Jinyu New Energy Shipbuilding focuses on building intelligent new energy high-end stainless steel oil and chemical tankers below 30,000 tons. It is an enterprise established by ship operating companies and ship supporting enterprises. It can provide top-level designs for high-performance complex ships and build the core competitiveness of digital shipbuilding. The total investment of this shipbuilding project is RMB 300 million, with an estimated annual output value of approximately RMB 1.2 billion, and it is planned to provide 1,500 jobs.
At the same time, Jinyu New Energy Shipbuilding is also the first shipbuilding company to be recruited by the Wuxue Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government to settle in the Hubei Intelligent New Energy Ship Industrial Park.
Public data shows that the Hubei Intelligent New Energy Ship Industry Park was officially approved by the Defense Science and Technology Industry Commission of Hubei Provincial in 2019. The project construction covers hydraulic engineering and intelligent manufacturing areas, with a total investment of RMB 10 billion. After completion and production, the annual output value is expected to reach more than RMB 10 billion, creating about 30,000 jobs and generating about RMB 1 billion in tax revenue.
The overall planning of the park covers an area of about 10,000 mu, using 3,000 meters of the Yangtze River coastline. The initial planning construction land scale is about 6,750 mu, with 3,000 meters of the Yangtze River coastline.
