On October 28, China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) released its third quarter report for 2024.
The report disclosed that CMES achieved operating income of RMB 19.296 billion (approximately US$2.702 billion) in the first three quarters, a year-on-year increase of 1.44%; net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 3.369 billion (approximately US$472 million), a year-on-year decrease of 10.35%; non-net profit was RMB 3.288 billion (approximately US$460 million), a year-on-year decrease of 9.11%; net cash flow generated from operating activities was RMB 6.402 billion (approximately US$896 million), a year-on-year decrease of 4.13%; during the reporting period, CMES’ basic earnings per share was RMB 0.41, a year-on-year decrease of 10.87%.
According to information, CMES, as a professional shipping company focusing on international and domestic cargo transportation, takes oil and gas (LNG) transportation and dry bulk shipping as its core business, and other businesses (containers, car roll-on/roll-off transportation, special transportation and shipping-related support businesses) as organic supplements.
