On October 25th, CSSC Chengxi Shipyard, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), named and delivered “Shine Ruby”, the first vessel of 82,000 DWT bulk carrier series built for ICBC Leasing.
It was delivered 99 days ahead of the contract period, breaking the shortest construction period record of CSSC Chengxi Shipyard 82,000 DWT series bulk carriers.
“Shine Ruby” belongs to the fourth generation of Kamsarmax 82,000 DWT bulk carriers, which is characterized by green environmental protection, excellent performance, large cargo capacity and strong adaptability. Classed by BV, the vessel has an overall length of 229 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters, meets the International Maritime Organization Tier III emission standards, and the main engine is equipped with a high-pressure denitrification SCR system.
“Shine Ruby” is the first vessel of 82,000 DWT bulk carrier series cooperated by CSSC Chengxi Shipyard, ICBC Leasing and Shagang Group. All performance indicators of the vessel have reached the advanced level of similar ships.
