Qiyao Environ Tec’s first set of marine SCR system Passes FAT

Recently, Shanghai QiYao Environmental Technology (Qiyao Environ Tec) under China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) has successfully passed the factory acceptance test (FAT) for the first set of marine SCR system exported to overseas.

The SCR system is applied to a 16,500 TEU container ship built by Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea and is adapted to the 7H32DF-LM and 9H32DF-LM methanol dual-fuel gensets used on the ship. Under methanol mode or diesel mode, the NOx emission index can meet the IMO Tier III emission standard.

This project is the first marine SCR project that Qiyao Environ Tec cooperates with foreign shipyards, and it is an important step for Qiyao Environ Tec’s marine SCR products to enter into the sequence of equipment suppliers of the world’s first-class shipyards.

At the acceptance site, Samsung Heavy Industries highly praised the product quality and performance as well as Qiyao Environ Tec’s technical capability. Qiyao Environ Tec will continue to do a good job in the series of work such as equipment shipment, on-board installation guidance, commissioning and inspection, for the successful delivery of the project.

Qiyao Environ Tec can provide customers with a full range of open, closed and hybrid desulphurization systems for different ship types and routes, as well as denitrification systems (high-pressure and low-pressure) that cover the mainstream of the marine market, and work together to promote the green upgrading and transformation of the shipping industry.
