CMJL (Weihai) delivers the third 7000 CEU dual-fuel PCTC to EPS

On October 23, Chinese shipbuilder China Merchants Jingling Shipyard (Weihai) Co. Ltd. CMJL (Weihai) delivered the third 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTC (pure car and track carrier) “CMA CGM MONZA” built for Singapore’s Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS).

This PCTC is 199.9 meters in length, 38 meters in breadth, 8.6 meters in design draft and 19 knots in speed. The PCTC is fitted with a total of 12 cargo decks, divided into fixed and movable ones, which improves cargo loading and unloading efficiency and enhances the operational economic efficiency of the PCTC.

The power system adheres to the design concept of green energy saving and environmental protection, adopting high-pressure dual-fuel system, equipped with two 2,000 m³ LNG tanks, shaft generator and lithium battery hybrid propulsion system, as well as photovoltaic system and many other environmental protection technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and meet the requirements of the International Maritime Organization TIER III emission standards, which has significant energy-saving, eco-friendly and high-efficiency advantages.
