HD Hyundai Heavy Industries – Engine & Machinery recently announced signed an agreement with Japan’s Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Company for the package delivery of a total of 16 sets (4 vessels) of HiMSEN Methanol Dual Fuel Engines with SCR.
The series of engines will be used in four newbuildings constructed by Zhoushan Tsuneishi Shipbuilding in China, and the engines will be delivered to the shipyard from January 2025 onwards.
Earlier this year, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries – Engine & Machinery signed a contract with Imabari Shipbuilding for the supply of 75 environmentally friendly H32C engines to be installed on 15 container ships.
Meanwhile, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries – Engine & Machinery said it is focusing its business on the development of future-fuel engines to respond positively to the trend. Orders for HiMSEN dual-fuel engines are expected to increase further as demand for environmentally friendly ships increases.
