On October 18th, MUGELLO, the first 50,000DWT MR tanker built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding under Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group for shipowner Evalend, was delivered and will be put into operation.
MUGELLO has a total length of 183.0 meters, a beam of 32.2 meters, a depth of 19.1 meters, a designed draft of 11.0 meters and a structural draft of 13.3 meters. It is equipped with an open U-shaped desulfurization tower, and its EEDI meets the PHASE III standard. It is a green ship features energy-saving, environmentally friendly with excellent port suitability, and is highly competitive in the market. The ship was kicked off in early October 2023 and is classed by Lloyd’s Register (LR).
It is reported that the delivery document of the MR tanker was signed on October 16. There are a total of 6 MR tankers in this batch, and the other 5 will also be built in an orderly manner by New Yangzi Shipbuilding.
