Recently, BUREAU VERITAS MARINE & OFFSHORE (BV) issued the approval in principle (AIP) certificate of marine methanol fuel system to Wuhan Wuchuan Heavy Equipment Engineering under China Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), marking that the company’s self-designed Marine methanol fuel system has been recognized by BV in terms of feasibility, reliability, safety and green environmental protection.
AIP is a certificate of approval in principle, which is the principle recognition of a ship or ship system design by a classification society.
The scope of the AIP certification includes the principle design of the bunkering, storage and supply system of the Marine methanol fuel system, which reflects the technological precipitation and research and development advantages of Wuhan Wuchuan Heavy Equipment Engineeringin the field of new energy marine equipment.
