OceanSTAR Signs FSO EPC Contract with Titan Wind Energy

On October 15, Titan Wind Energy (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. issued a “Voluntary Announcement on the Signing of a Daily Operations Contract by a Subsidiary”.

The announcement disclosed that recently, Nantong Changfeng New Energy Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Nantong Changfeng”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tianshun Wind Energy (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Titan Wind Energy”), and OceanSTAR Marine & Offshore Investment Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “OceanSTAR Company”) signed the “Floating Storage and Offloading Vessel (FSO) EPC Construction Contract” with a total project amount of US$45 million (approximately RMB 320 million).

Nantong Changfeng will provide FSO vessel process design, hull construction, material and some equipment procurement, installation, pre-commissioning and ect., for the development of oil and gas fields in offshore projects in Southeast Asian waters. The construction period is expected to be about 22 months.

The announcement stated that the signing of the “Floating Storage and Offloading Vessel (FSO) EPC Construction Contract” is an important expansion of Titan Wind Energy’s special vessel business and a solid step for its marine engineering business to further move into the diversified marine engineering field.

The project will be built at the Tongzhou Bay offshore engineering base, which will give full play to its natural resource advantages such as docks, harbors and coastlines, as well as its manufacturing capacity advantages.

Titan Wind Energy will focus on overseas markets and customers, cooperating with the company’s German offshore engineering base under construction, and striving to become the manufacturing base for the group’s offshore engineering equipment export products. Product types include diversified offshore engineering products such as overseas jackets, floating platforms, booster stations, oil and gas modules and special vesses.

This project can not only optimize the capacity configuration of the base, but also better meet the needs of overseas customers, enhance the company’s competitiveness in the global market, and create a leading “sea engineering” equipment enterprise integrating design, optimization and manufacturing capabilities.
